For Agriculture and Allied Sciences, ICAR considers these five core subjects:
1. Core Subject Requirement: A candidate must have studied and passed at least three of the five subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture/Inter-Agriculture) as core subjects in Class XII.
2. Subject Matching Rule: For ICAR counselling, the subjects chosen for CUET (UG) must exactly correspond to the subjects studied and passed by the candidate in Class XII.

The CUET-UG syllabus for the Agriculture subject prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is primarily divided into 4 major units:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Allied Sciences:
Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (12th Standard) with at least three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture / Inter-Agriculture as core courses.
Candidate(s) who appears in subject(s) different than the one which s(he) passed in 12th standard will not be considered for counselling / admission and will stand rejected.
The candidates must attempt only those subjects (at least 3 subjects) in the examination as per the choice given in the Application / Registration Form. Therefore, they must exercise the choice of subjects very carefully.
Indian Nationals of at least 16 years of age are eligible to apply for the examination. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.

CUET (UG) 2026 online registration is available online at https://cuet.nta.nic.in once after the release of notification during the month of January.
